In October 2025, Halo was called in to pitch on the Pick n Pay (PnP) account. Huge. I won’t get into the nitty gritty of PnP’s business troubles at the time. All you need to know is that they needed customers that had defected to other supermarkets to try PnP again.

That got me thinking. As much as PnP really wanted shoppers to come back to them, all the products in PnP wanted to go home with shoppers even more.
That thought plus a heavy dose of nostalgia for going to the shops with my ma as a laatie became a script. And that script won us the pitch.

It’s too soon to say if this spot will help solve PnP’s business woes, but it did make my mom cry a little. That’s a win in my book.
