To answer your first question, it’s pronounced Guy-er.

I grew up in a home full of things that made me go ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’. And I bloody loved it. I loved staring at my oupa’s paintings and stealing my mom’s camera. I loved crying during movies and staying up all night to devour books. I loved cramming things into my adolescent brain and letting them wriggle and jiggle around until I could turn them into something of my own.

Now that my frontal lobe has fully developed, I can cram even more things up there. Nice. And I use all of it to make my work. This work has won me a few awards, quelled my father’s concerns over my opting not to study math or science, and has reminded me (on the odd day that I need reminding) that my job is pretty shweet.

Also, I never put the camera down, and picked up a few more along the way. You can see a selection of my photos below.
