About Me
To answer your first question, it’s pronounced Guy-er.
I’m an avid reader, watcher, and listener, with a fascination for words and why they can make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. I’m craft obsessed. Whether it be from films, books, music, design, food, or just a scrumptious cup of coffee, I get this little tingle in my brain when I feel the thought and care that was given in making something. I like to think my work does the same.
Some say that true copywriters are a dying breed. I’m doing my darndest to prove them wrong.
My Work
I made my creative debut at OFYT in 2023. Since then, I’ve moved on to smaller things at South Africa’s most conspicuous small agency, Halo. I’ve been having it since joining Halo, working hard to make standout brands and brands stand out with every brief I can get my ink-stained fingers on.
So far, my words and ideas have helped Halo claim the title of AdFocus Agency of the Year, win the Klipdrift, Pick n Pay, and YOCO accounts, get some love, a gold Effie, and a helluva lot of policies for Pineapple, get our first-ever nod at D&AD for Deanston Whisky, and take home the coveted title of Young Creative of the Year at the 2025 Loeries. Not bad for three years in the biz.
