When the brief came in to the studio to come up with a big idea for the Pick n Pay x Springboks sponsorship, my CD Jo and I knew we wanted to be the team that cracked it. So, we went home for the weekend to work on it, and after 15 minutes scrolling South African rugby related content on TikTok, the idea became painfully obvious. Whether it was referring to a 6ft2 13-year-old from the Free State, or the Bokke themselves, every other video was asking the same question, ‘What are they feeding them?’.

Eight months, heaps of graft, and hundreds of scenes later we had this piece, made with in collaboration with Fausto Becatti and the lovely humans at Bioscope Films. This one was a proper pinch me moment. I feel wildly lucky to have worked with the Bokke and a world-class production team to bring this piece to life.
